7th Annual Great High Mountain Bed Race

Parade

The Parade begins at 9:00 A.M. in Midtown at the corner of Sudderth and Eagle Drive and ends at the corner of Sudderth and Center Street. The Grand Marshall will lead the parade, followed by the Kids' Decorated "Bike" Parade and then the decorated racing beds. All parade entries are asked to be ready at 8:30 A.M.

The Bed Race

The Bed Race begins at 9:30 at the corner of Sudderth and Center Street and goes east to the finish line at Eagle Drive. Beds are powered by sheer physical strength and teams will race against each other.

Post- Race Activities

The fun continues at Wingfield Park with food, fun, a Celebrity Jail and games/booths for all ages in a carnival atmosphere. Purchase tickets on this page or at the ticket tent (Cash and credit cards accepted.)

Fresh-cooked burgers with all of the trimmings, chips, water, soft drinks, nachos, and home-made desserts will tickle your taste buds.

Fun and games will be provided by local philanthropic groups and clubs. Booths will consist of various levels and games of skill and prizes.

Local celebrities and non-celebrities alike will take turns getting locked up in the Celebrity Jail. Set them free or leave them in--it's all up to friends to decide how much to pay to free them.

Vote for your favorite decorated parade entries and at 2:00 those winners and the winning Bed Race Teams will be announced with the trophy presentations.
